‘A roof without anything’ was the starting point for the architect Anne-Marie Pors when creating the new memorial space in the De Roosdoncken Cemetery in Nuenen. The architect designed an open building with two stone walls in a customised mix, which support a roof in Corten steel, creating a sacred location for saying goodbye without having to shut inside or stood in the rain. A natural, understated, discreet structure in keeping with its environment.
