Stefano Viganò has been working in the business since 1990, first helping his Father Carlo to manage the firm, then taking over its general management, where prolonged and eclectic professional activity has included numerous projects throughout Italy. In Desio, where the firm’s operations are based, projects have included the S. Pio X Church, the new cemetery, the municipal complex (1999), and L’Arca residential care home (2002). The developments that best epitomise the dual nature of his architecture, combining attention to structural and technological detail with aesthetic sensitivity, include projects in the design sector partnering leading companies, such as Giorgetti e Bernini in the furnishing sector. In 1979, the design for the Premi-Apri doorknob, produced by Serrature Meroni with renowned success all over the world, was selected for the Compasso d’Oro award.
