The design of this villa is inspired by the highest level of energy efficiency.

In the main view perceived from the street, the white, plastered living element, with a contemporary character, rests on a stone base, recalling the walls of a castle, recovered and also used as an ornamental element. A modern element supported by the historical and traditional base, very well represented by the sustainable Geopietra® manufactured stone cladding, recalling the traditional materials and colours of Friuli and Veneto areas. A feature that denotes the attention to detail, linked to the need to proceed with a stratigraphy that respected the energy performance of the building, which is currently in the highest energy class.

Furthermore, all the laying work was carried out on a concrete wall insulated externally with EPS insulation using the guaranteed laying system Mastrosistema®. The regular rhythm of the openings which we find here recalls a modular and functional architecture, aimed at protecting the residents, a protection improved by the generating wall with an important, solid and safe contribution. In this case we’re talking about Burago finishing model, which offers a typical profile, with a varied composition of shapes (rounded and irregular) and dimensions. The shades selected are many and varied: from cool to warm tones, from light to dark shades.

In the masonry composition, in addition to the use of the stones, bricks from manufactured Terrakotta collection are also present, with small quantities, to give a more rustic character to the final texture. Grouting was carried out with GeoBi, Geopietra® innovative two-component lightweight mortar, suitable for both interior and exterior use. In this case, the mortar is not just a complement, but plays a starring role: the solid finish recalls the charm of the old masonry thanks to the flush filling. Overall, despite the large outdoor area, it’s an "intimate and introverted" house in relation to the outside, facing inward. Inside the building we find no other references to stone, so much that it seems a declaration on a redevelopment of a historic building, that had only this outside element to be preserved.
