A luxury resort with Made in Italy design for a unique experience at the foot of the Matterhorn.

An Icon of Style

Valtur Cervinia Cristallo Ski Resort is the first establishment of the Italian Lifestyle Collection, a selection of resorts located in Italy's most iconic places and around the world, showcasing the blend of Valtur's distinct Italian spirit with distant and nearby cultures. Completely renovated, this luxury accommodation has reached a new level of design and energy efficiency.

Situated at an altitude of two thousand meters and just minutes from the town centre, the resort offers breathtaking views of the Matterhorn. It consists of distinct but interconnected sections: the central "Cristallo" building, with a 5-star category, and two adjacent buildings, "Cristallino 1" and "Cristallino 2", with 4 stars. This differentiation in standards caters to a diverse clientele while maintaining a range of high-quality shared services. The redevelopment project was executed by studio Architetture Sordina Torno Partners, who skillfully combined modernity and tradition through the careful use of materials like manufactured stone and wood, elements that recall Alpine architecture and blend seamlessly with the landscape. The result is an environment that respects the natural landscape's harmony without sacrificing elegance and living comfort.

Wellness, sport and entertainment

The resort aims to provide a unique vacation experience through personalized service and entertainment areas, enhanced by high-tech resources to experience the holiday at its best, as a proposal of wellness, entertainment and attention to detail. Everything is inspired by design and lifestyle exclusively made in Italy. There are numerous areas dedicated to sports: from the gym to the swimming pools, from padel courts to a ski school. Essential to this is the wellness area, a 1,500-square-meter space designed to ensure maximum relaxation.

A design seamlessly integrated with the natural landscape

Despite its significant size, the complex has been crafted with meticulous attention to details, aiming to ensure it blends perfectly with the surrounding natural landscape. Situated in a setting dominated by the majestic mountains, the entire project fits harmoniously into the landscape, respecting the context in which it is located. Each structure is designed to integrate perfectly with the setting, creating an architecture that converses with nature rather than contrasting it.

The use of materials, such as Geopietra® manufactured stone and wood, plays a fundamental role in this integration. The stone, chosen for its connection to local tradition, combined with wood, entirely clad the buildings. This blend of materials creates an atmosphere that not only conveys aesthetic appeal but also echoes the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Every architectural element has been designed to align with the unique characteristics of the landscape and to maximize the site's potential, achieving a harmonious balance between the built and natural environment. The design strategy focuses on making each building a component of the landscape, without ever disrupting or altering the visual harmony of the surrounding mountains.

Geopietra® stone veneer with a custom design

The Geopietra® model chosen for this project and used outdoors features a custom design specifically tailored to fit the structure, with a careful use of shapes and sizes that enhance the masonry’s authentic appearance itself. The variety in the cladding ranges from soft lines to more defined ones. Additionally, the different shades enrich the cladding and accentuate its diversity. Further refining the stone cladding are the special Geofit® pieces, small flakes that add harmony to the texture.

Geopietra®: the innovative cladding for maximum comfort

In addition, the design was conceived to ensure maximum comfort and energy saving. To optimise thermal performance, Geopietra® manufactured stone cladding was installed on external thermal insulation. This innovative material made exclusively by hand and with natural raw materials, thanks to its advanced characteristics and versatility, proved to be the ideal choice for this type of intervention, combining functionality and aesthetics in a perfect way.

Elegance in the details: Geopietra® cornerstones

At the corners, the Geopietra® cornerstones in the Appenninico model have been incorporated, recalling the traditional architectural heritage. Inspired by the massive corners of old farmhouses, these cornerstones were originally hand-hewn and squared to give solidity and stability to the structures. The carefully crafted design of Geopietra® cornerstones not only retains these features but enhances them with a contemporary approach that highlights strength without compromising aesthetics. Including these cornerstones in structural details gives the Geopietra® cladding an authentic and three-dimensional aesthetic value.

Luxury, elegance and nature

Every stay here is a meeting of comfort, elegance and nature, and the resort confirms itself as an unmissable choice for those who wish to experience the Alps in all their majesty and refinement. With design and attention to detail as protagonists, the Valtur Cervinia Cristallo Ski Resort embodies Italian luxury, where every corner reflects the perfection of craftsmanship and architectural tradition, without ever losing sight of the harmony with the surrounding natural environment.
